The God In Me

I have always had a positive attitude although I didn’t originally know it was the God in me doing the work. And, that attitude has attracted so much good to me. Have I had bad days, bad experiences, or sadness? Of course! It is my reaction to those experiences and how long I hung on to them that made a difference. And, those bad experiences, in the long run, actually taught me how to have even better days.

Here is an affirmation I use to remind me of my good (the God in me):

I open my heart and my mind and accept the good that is given to me. I know that I am abundant and abundance comes to me. I know I am happy and happiness comes to me. I know I am loving and love comes to me. I walk through life creating exactly what I want. I take positive steps toward my goals. When an unexpected situation occurs that causes me to question the path that I am on, I learn what I can from that situation and release what does not serve me. I move on in confidence knowing the truth of who I am.

I also share my good with people I meet during the day. I see God in everyone’s faces. I smile at them, I tell them to have a good day, I compliment them. If I can change even one persons’ day for the better, then I have used the God in me to better our broader community.

I do have bad days or losses that cause me to lose my way sometimes. That’s exactly why I love Unity’s teachings. Unity and Rev Kitty’s inspirational messages help me get back to remembering who I am. And, for that I am grateful.
