Agent of Change

“A volunteer is an Agent of Change” –  I saw that on a T-shirt and thought that it was perfect!  As we look around, it’s easy to see we have lots of opportunities to be agents of change in this world and at Unity in Naperville. If you don’t see something, ask.  Some opportunities here at UIN are big, like serving on the board or other committees that meet regularly, some are small like helping to put chairs back after an event or special service or making a dish for a potluck.   As an introvert, I’ve found the best way to make friends is to jump in and help with a project.  I have been a volunteer on the Tech Team for several years and have found friendship, a sense of connection, and pride in helping my community.  If you would like to be an Agent of Change, your mission could include being a greeter, announcer, tech team (sound, PowerPoint, or live stream), events team, or prayer chaplain.  As a new (returning) board member, if I haven’t met you yet, please stop by the tech booth and say Hi, or meet me after the service in the front room.  I’d love to get to know you better. – Susan
