What Gift Can I Bring?

Faith “the assurance of things hoped for, the Conviction of things not seen. – Hebrew 11:1

Last week we started our Advent Season with Faith. Rev. Kitty gave us a question to answer: The Spirit of Christmas has begun ~ What gift can I bring? I hope we all take the time to not only answer that question but to come to realize that our very life is a gift. This last year has been particularly difficult in that I have known so many people who have lost loved ones. Our gift in this holiday season can simply be to hold deep gratitude for each other and for the time we can spend together. To be present in each opportunity to be together and to feel our hearts glow.

When I was thinking about what to write about Faith today this Blessing came to mind. It is a longer version of the Prayer we do each Sunday for our Conscious Giving:

Divine love, flowing through me,
blesses and multiplies all that I am,
all that I have, all that I give, and all that I receive.
I have Faith in God to raise my human understanding
to Divine understanding.
I have Faith in God to provide a way
where to human sense there is no way.
I have Faith in God to guide, govern, and
direct me in divine service.

From our Sunday service: My Faith in God turns my hope into reality.

I would like to close with a quote from The Twelve Powers on Faith:

“Our True ideas are always from God. The yearning desire of these divine ideas in the heart causes mind action, and through this movement the divine ideas are born by faith into consciousness and produce thought. Thus the Faith consciousness, once established, is constantly fed from the very fount of one source, and the knowledge that God is all and that all things not made by Him are unreal fills one with immeasurable assurance. It gives us the firm conviction that all conditions of mind and body are ours to conquer with Faith.” ~ Cora Fillmore

Our Affirmation from our book on Advent:

“I remember to affirm the miracle-working power of Faith to bring about world peace and health for people everywhere.”

May you have a Faith Filled Christmas this year!
