Watch it Again

When I started attending Unity in Naperville about 6 years ago I was overwhelmed. First by the powerful energy I felt and second by all of the information, resources and tools presented on Spirituality. I attended Sunday service regularly and began reading the books and authors that I would hear quoted. Some books were a tough read and others I zipped through, feeding a growing awareness of Spirit in my life. After about a year I ran into a friend who had once recommended an inspirational book to me. I told him about UIN and all the books I had read including his suggestion and excitedly asked if he could recommend another book. His answer caught me off guard. “go back and read them again” he said.

Sensing that he had been where I was, I reluctantly began rereading the half a dozen or so books from Eckhart Tolie, Wayne Dyer, Brian Weiss, Michael Singer and The Five Principles by Unity Minister Rev Ellen Davenport that I had quickly absorbed. I soon began to understand my friend’s words of wisdom! I was at a different level of consciousness now and I related to and understood so much more this time that I could apply and practice in my life.

Fast forward to Reverand Kitty’s much-anticipated return and her message series “Masks or Metaphysics”. I was again overwhelmed by the powerful energy, information, and tools she was presenting. It was like 6 years ago. I felt so assured and conscious that “Yes” Spirit is guiding us through these seemingly uncertain times as she asked us to not only take on healing the pandemic with her, but also healing our own fear. And Kim Char singing that song A cappella! Wow! So much Love and wisdom to take in. Then this past Sunday she told us “We have to do our work in order to transform”. As I sat with what I had experienced the last three Sunday’s and questioned how I could do the work she spoke of, I realized I could go back, with the help of technology that UIN now incorporates to record the “Live Stream” every week and with YouTube and my smart TV, “Watch it again” a little at a time. Remembering and reliving it over and over. So Grateful for this Unity community!

Much Love,
