Tapping Into Our Power – Steve Landrey

Unity in Naperville’s Thanksgiving Eve service with Rev. Kitty, Kim-Char, and friends was amazing and enlightening. As we watch the Livestream, doesn’t it seem like everyone is singing and speaking directly to you?! Kitty spoke about ways to first notice (be conscious) of your energy. How does it affect your life and what you manifest on a daily basis? How does your energy affect the lives of those around you as you leave your essence wherever you go? We affirm here at Unity every week that there is only one power. It’s creative, life giving, and the goodness of our source. OK, this is exciting! I’m with her so far.

Then as she always, she gave us examples and tools to turn on that power. Love, Kindness, and Appreciation are all energy, “and you have the power to wield it,” she said. Start small so that your subconscious doesn’t shut you down. Find something to appreciate in a situation that you typically hate. Building on this, continue to look for more opportunities to be appreciative. Do you see where she’s going with this? “The more you appreciate (use your power), the more you will find that you have to appreciate,” Kitty said. Wow! She makes it sound so easy and fun.

Some people believe that they are discouraged, grumpy, and unhappy because their life is that way, and Rev Kitty is challenging us to consider (again, be aware of) that it’s the other way around. That our emotions create our life. Hmmmmmm. Isn’t that one of the 5 Unity principles? YES! Acknowledge the power in everyone and yourself. Tap into that power by being that power…Appreciative, Kind, Selfless. Use the power to manifest in your life what it is that you prefer. I appreciate you taking the time to read this today!

Love and Blessings,
Steve Landrey
