Susan Snowden – Adventures With Spirit

Last Sunday, Denise Rosier spoke about our oneness with Spirit and each other. Using the story of the man crossing Niagara Falls on a rope with his manager on his back, she spoke of recognizing that oneness particularly when we get to the tough part of the walk, the part without the extra cables to keep the rope from swaying too much. I have been keeping that idea in mind, remembering Spirit is always there to help me, one with me. Think “courage,” right?  Then I find the April 25th, 1999 Daily Word: “Thank you, God, for leading me through the adventures of my life… I am on a spiritual quest – an adventure in living as a sacred being! This is a journey of the soul in which I discover more about God and about the presence and power of God in me. Not content to merely exist, I eagerly explore my world, learning and growing through the experiences of life… I expand my understanding of what God can do through me…”

Just that little shift in perspective – from a fearful, but willingly taken on “crossing”, to “oh yeah! That’s what I was doing!” I recently – willingly – switched job titles and am in the process of transitioning duties. I gave up a position I could practically do in my sleep since I have done it for 13 years, for one that I know only the tangential bits that hit my former day-to-day duties. Some days I wonder if I was crazy! I made the decision to try something new so that I was not just ‘merely existing’. I wanted to learn and grow. So, with the reminder that Spirit is with me on this journey, I will stop taking myself quite so seriously and remember to have fun with these new job duties, aka adventures.
