About Grandparents Raising Grandchildren… The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) program at Metropolitan Family Services offers a day and evening (GRG) support group, clinical guidance by licensed social workers and counselors, counseling services for the adult caregivers and for the children they care for. The GRG Support Group provides peer support for grandmothers, grandfathers, and other relatives raising their relatives’ children. The grandparents come from all areas of DuPage County and care for children of all ages, ranging from newborn to adult. Grandparents can be single, suffer from health issues themselves, and/or have financial challenges trying to raise a second family at an older age. Our GRG program offers a safe place to come together and share emotional support and needed resources.  For more information about Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, contact Kelly Reid LCSW at Metropolitan Family Services at 630-202-3920.
