Running Late

In spite of Melody’s reminder on Friday that it was my turn to do the Board Blurb, due Sunday night, I totally spaced it out.  Got a message from Kim-Char this morning, a gentle nudge while I was on the run leaving my chiropractor’s appointment.  So here I am in the Naper Blvd. Library, 45 minutes from home, getting this done.  Sorry for being late.  But you can see all the people involved who make the ENews happen.  So you, my dear readers, get this ENews blast every Tuesday in your inbox.

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for me- spending time in New Jersey and New York City with my son Daniel last weekend, and even got to spend the day in Central Park, walking and biking (an electric bike, what a great experience – in fact, I am thinking of getting one of my own), but that will have to wait for another day, because I’m still running late.  Back to my real life after returning from the east coast, catching up, working, preparing for my next trip- headed to Peru on Thursday for a Yoga retreat with a friend of 50+ years, seeing friends and family, connecting with my Unity Peeps at Event Team meeting, then Board meeting, where we welcomed our newest Board members, Claire Granger and Dianne Martin, and I’m thrilled to have them join us.  New blood and new ideas help our beloved Unity in Naperville grow.  Then there was my last time to prepare the Board Minutes, as Dianne has valiantly volunteered to take on this role, and I gratefully appreciate her generosity in stepping into her new role.

And then this past weekend, the Celebration of Tony Pignato’s Life here at UIN was an acknowledgement of who he was, and still is, in the lives of so many folks who knew and loved him.  I learned so much more about his kind and generous heart and all the lives he impacted in such a loving and powerful way.  Then, as always, Rev. Kitty knocked it out of the park with her lesson on our Subconscious Diet.  And we welcomed back Kim-Char from her Hawaii adventures to lead us with her amazing musical talent and uplifting messages through music – Centered in the Peace of God, Way Up, There is Only Love.

And yes, THERE IS ONLY LOVE here.

So now, I am focused on slowing down, and still getting it all done.

Love to all,

Melinda Buehring
