I love it when I experience synchronicity. It is such a clear demonstration of the Law of Mind Action, which tells us that what we hold in mind, we attract in like kind. This past Sunday I was reminding you, in order to overcome difficulty, to think about God instead. I was emphasizing the idea that you and I are spiritual beings, and when we remember that all of life is an extension of Spirit, we will rise above any apparent obstacle. I asked you to keep thinking about God this week as “infinite”…infinite love, infinite ideas, infinite good.
Then today, as I was catching up on my Daily Word, I had to laugh when I saw how similar Sunday’s reading was…the word for the day was “Spiritual Being.” Part of the message said, “Jesus knew the importance of realizing our inseparable relationship with the Divine and taught that God is a living presence within. The more time I spend in prayer, the more I will experience a sense of oneness with God and with all creation. Any earthly challenges are transformed by the divine presence within. I release all concerns with the quiet realization that the spiritual being I am is not limited in any way.”
When the Universe repeats messages like this, I sense an invitation…to take a deeper dive. Will you spend time dwelling on these ideas with me this week? Perhaps regularly repeat that last line from the Daily Word, “I release all concerns with the quiet realization that the spiritual being I am is not limited in any way.” Then come Sunday, we’ll apply these principles to some of your real-life difficulties. (Thanks to those who submitted questions!) If you’d like to know how to think about God when facing a challenge, you can submit your question to revkitty@unityinnaperville.org. I’ll be responding during my Sunday messages through the end of February.
And for those of you who are wondering how to think about God while facing a health challenge, please consider joining us at our new monthly Healing Service this Wed., Feb. 13 at 7pm. You’ll have the opportunity to join us in a prayer circle as several Healing Support Friends and I “think about God” on your behalf. Come for yourself or sit in for a loved one. Know with us that God’s healing power, strength, and renewing life is infinite!
With loving blessings, Rev. Kitty
