Rest – Diane Pitterle

Earlier this month, on September 3, the Daily Word was “Rest.”
The affirmation for the day was:  “I rest in God’s love and peace.”

In our hectic lifestyle these days it is sometimes hard to remember to take time to Rest.  Rest can take shape in many ways.  It can be taking a moment to take in some long, slow, deep breaths; it can be taking a few minutes to chat with a friend or give our total undivided attention to a child and best of all, it can be turning OFF the cell phone for a few minutes of peace!Even a few minutes of rest can be enough to give us a sense of relaxation and connection with the Spirit within us.  We are renewed and energized and ready to enjoy the rest of our peaceful day!

Looking for a short meditation?  The Silent Unity “app” called “uPray” is an excellent way to stop for that moment of rest.  Each month there is a 3-minute meditation recorded which you can listen to at your leisure.  In addition, there are many affirmations on this site which you can use for a moment of rest on a daily basis.

Give yourself that moment of Rest right now!  You’ll be glad you did!

Peace & Blessings,
