Out of the Blue

Those of us who have the honor of serving on Unity in Naperville’s Board of Trustees take turns writing a weekly message, and today, it’s mine to do. I’m going to keep this message intentionally short in the hopes that you’ll use the time you might spend reading words and rather, click on the link below to bask in the majestic gift of music Megon McDonough gave us all this Sunday morning, a new composition she shared with us, “Out of the Blue.”

As a teacher of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom, I am constantly challenging my students to find new ways to describe God.  In workshops and classes I teach, I encourage my students to make lists of their new names for God, such as:  Spirit, Divine Presence, Universal Intelligence, the Absolute, Source, The I Am that I Am, the Ground of All Being… and on and on…  the longer our lists grow, the deeper our perception of God.

But today, Megon’s beautiful message opened up a vista in a way I’d never perceived it before.  It came right “Out of the Blue.”  Please take a listen.
