This past Sunday, Rev Kitty spoke of the way that Divine Goodness, in all its aspects, is freely given. It pours forth in, around and through us all. However, it can only reach our mind’s ear if we are open to receive it. Divine Wisdom is already wired to us, as we are a part of its Source and cannot be separate from its message. Yet, much the same as we are surrounded in the physical world by transmitted radio sound all the time and can only hear it if we tune it in on a radio receiver, we are immersed spiritually in God’s guidance and yet, only through devoted spiritual practice, can we tune in clearly to hear it.
The opportunity to learn our “lessons” in life is always there from a young age. Life’s experiences exist to guide us to discover our good. Yet, to “get the point” we have to choose spiritual practices that increase our discernment. The sharper our discernment, the sooner and easier will be our spiritual advancement. Imagine that with each of life’s encounters, Spirit is saying in an ever louder voice “Now Hear This!!” How long will it take each us to hear the Divine Wisdom that seeks our attention? “Can you hear me now?” This will determine our life’s course, as Life will create in our midst whatever we need to get its point across. A minister of mine once pointed out that we are all going to get “there” (knowing the Truth). It’s just a matter of when and how. She would always say that “If love doesn’t bring you, sorrow will send you.” Let’s choose Love!!!
