New Beginnings

Wikipedia says that dreaming of a baby symbolizes something in your own inner nature that is pure, vulnerable, helpless and/or uncorrupted.  Seeing a baby in a dream usually signifies innocence, warmth and new beginnings.

Having a new baby in your life is definitely a new beginning, a new chapter of a continuous story of mankind.  Babies represent the future.  I am proud to say that I am a new grandmother, 2nd time around! My daughter Emilee and her husband Saud brought a beautiful new baby girl into this chaotic world of 2020, and now, to me, the world has slowed, and external chaos seems so much less important. I was able to spend the first week with the newly expanded family.  While it was an adjustment for all, it also was a lovely time of quietly reveling in the unifying energy of one’s family. I was blessed to be able to be with them, and see them work through the adjustments for both themselves and for their ebullient 3-year-old son.

Back home, I am entrenched once again in the business of Unity. Unity is also facing a new beginning of sorts, when we will someday re-open our doors. The Unity board of trustees has a vision for this future, and we are working to bring a new look and fresh energy to our physical spaces. We presented that vision at our annual meeting on September 28th, and I think most people seemed genuinely excited about it!  I hope we can count on your support in making this vision a reality over the next few months. And some time next year, we can all revel in the unifying energy of our Unity family’s physical presence!

Wishing you all a blessed fall,

Beth Schwartz
Unity Board President
