Life is Good

I came to New Thought later in life. I didn’t really believe in “God”. I can’t say I was an atheist or agnostic because sometimes I would get this overwhelming feeling that there was something more. I had an idea in my mind of what I believed but it was different from what I had heard from other churches I had attended.

So, the first time I stepped into a new thought church in Albuquerque NM, I was thrilled. FINALLY, a group of people who thought the way I thought! I jumped in with both feet and signed up for the course that explained the foundation of the new thought beliefs. I was even more interested when the minister would explain concepts and then say, “But, that’s what I believe, you believe what you want!” Oh my gosh!!!! A “religion” that lets me think for myself. I was hooked.

Meanwhile, several home moves later, I landed in Naperville. I dropped by Unity in Naperville and found a loving, welcoming community. At that point, I was only in Naperville summers and at Christmas time so it was difficult to get too involved. But, now, I’m here permanently! And so….I once again jumped in with both feet. I was elected to the Board of Trustees and I am thrilled to be in service to this wonderful community of like-minded people. And I know undisputedly, that there is a God and that God only wants good for us all. Life is good!
