Dear Unity Friends, I write to you this time with a mixture of emotions, as this is my final post as a Board member. I have really enjoyed my time on the Board of Trustees, and I have enjoyed the opportunity to write to you on a regular basis. Anyone who was present at our annual meeting knows that this Board accomplished some amazing things, and I was so happy to play some part in that. I also have complete faith that the new Board will continue to accomplish amazing things with your support.
I was reflecting today on the power of gratitude – the topic of Rev. Kitty’s message on Sunday. As always, there were many key points, but one that struck me was that when we express gratitude for the good things in our lives the universe brings us more of those good things! It really is true that where attention goes energy flows!
So, I invite you today to put your attention on your Unity family, and all the wonderful things about it that you are grateful for: Our beloved Reverend Kitty, who never seems to run out of new ways to remind us of our light. Our unbelievably talented band, Highest Good, that moves us with their music each and every week. All of the committees, all of the volunteers, all of the groups, and of course, all of the people that show up week after week with their love and energy, and help make this place so special.
I am so grateful for all of you; I am so grateful for Unity in Naperville.
Leilah Siegel, (Outgoing Member) Board of Trustees
