SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDCHILDREN

Donations accepted through
August 4

Now through August 4, please help the children of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren prepare for the upcoming school year by donating backpacks, school supplies, gift cards or by making a monetary donation.  We will be supporting 37 kids, ages 3 – 18 years old plus 1 grandmother who is going back to school:

Age 3-5:      2 males*,   8 females*     Age 13-15:   5 males*,  3 females
Age 6-9:      4 males,    1 female     Age 16-18:   6 males*,  1 females
Age 10-12:  3 males,    4 females*     Over 18:      1 grandmother

*Special backpack requests: 1 Barbie backpack for 5 yo girl, 1 pink or purple backpack for 4 yo girl, 1 Spider Man backpack for 4 yo boy, 1 Boss Baby backpack for 4 yo boy, 1 Hero backpack for 6 yo boy, 1 backpack with graphic design for 12 yo girl, 1 pink backpack for 10 yo girl, 4 black backpacks for 13+ yo boys, 1 Nike backpack for 16 yo boy

Each child will need a backpack for school.  Backpacks for younger children should be big enough to hold a folder and a few basic supplies or belongings.  Backpacks for older children should be larger and sturdy enough to carry textbooks and other belongings.  The children will also need a variety of school supplies. Donations of one or more of the items (list below) are appreciated (# after the item indicates how many requested the item).

Please drop off your donation anytime now through August 4th.   A drop box is set up in the Front Room for donations. Monetary donations and gift cards are also welcome.  To donate online, enter “School Supplies” as the donation reason.  Questions? Email admin@unityinnaperville.org
