Gina Donaldson – Unique and Beautiful Expressions

I don’t know about you, but for me this summer has been a whirlwind of activity. My calendar makes me and others who look at it, dizzy and exhausted. I’m not complaining, just stating the facts. I am loving all my adventures, but I am also wishing for about 24 more hours a day so that I’m not so exhausted and so that I can fit in more of that wonderful blissful act of meditation.

Don’t get me wrong, I meditate, pray and contemplate often each and every day. I practice OMM, one-minute meditations, but I yearn for the time and discipline to enter the stillness longer, to sustain the connection and alignment to Spirit for a longer period.  As an extrovert, it is said I gain energy from being around others, so I find myself rarely alone and when I am, it can feel a bit strange. However, I also have an introverted side, who prefers to be reflective and relate to my inner world.  For me, the key to the kingdom has always been about balance, a state when achieved is nirvana.

Reverend Jacquie’s message resonated with me because I was one of those Jacquie spoke about who thought Unity focused too much on meditation and didn’t engage in enough action. Perhaps it is the extroverts who are caused to actionable change more and the introverts who are called to prayerful internal change more. But perhaps it is the extroverts who can learn more from the prayerful state and the introverts who can learn more from the action state.

These contemplative reflections lead me to love, acceptance and appreciation for myself and my brothers and sisters. I feel so blessed to see all the different expressions of God. We are all so unique and beautiful and we truly are the hands, feet and mind of Spirit.
