How is your homework coming along? Reverend Kitty asked us to notice what song we are singing this week. Sometimes I’m not sure what the lyrics or melody are so I need to look at what is showing up in my world and those experiences give me clues as to the song. This law reminds me of the computer programmer’s reproach -“garbage in, garbage out.”
Since I have retired, I feel like my song and life have become kind of mundane. Not good, not bad. I no longer have the stress that came with work and bosses and quotas and customers. But this is a new chapter and I need to reinvent myself. I need and want a new sound track and new songs to sing!
I imagine Spirit’s song is pretty high energy and full of the high, full notes of Love, Gratitude, Joy, Passion, Peace, Optimism. I want my inner and outer worlds to harmonize with the world of Spirit. Reverend Kitty said to just notice our song this week and not to necessarily try to fix things yet. I suspect our “Choir Director,” Reverend Kitty, will share some tools with us next week for how to stay on key and harmonize with Spirit. Do you feel that new song coming? I do.
