Hello Unity Friends,

The Daily Word for June 5 was “Pray for Others.”  What I found interesting about this article was rather than talking about “others” it focused on “me” instead.  It stated that to “Pray for Others” I must first be in my own Truth.  That is, that I can affirm that I have within me all I need; that, through prayer, I have let go of any negativity or fear and that I am centered in divine love and compassion.

Once I am in this place of Truth then I can Behold Their Light Within and I can affirm for others that they too are guided and loved along their journeys.

This reminds me of something I learned when my children were young.  I had heard that “When “I” get better, everything around me would get better.”  I applied that statement to my daily life and sure enough, I got better, my children got better and everything around me got better!

Sometimes it’s hard to Focus on Ourselves; however, we truly can’t help others until we are living in the Truth of our own being first.

Peace & Blessings,
