Diane Pitterle – Faith

With the frigid temperatures outside I prefer to stay inside where it is cozy, warm and safe.  These freezing temperatures remind me of how my Faith can run hot or cold at times, depending on my life circumstances and on my degree of Faith.

It is easy to have Faith when things are going well and life is good—just like it’s so easy to be outside on a beautiful summer day!  However; when things are not going so well, or challenges have arisen, I’d much prefer to stay inside myself where it is safe and comfortable, just like on a cold winter day.  Of course, in no time, I realize that hiding from or trying to ignore my challenges, or trying to Control everything that is happening in my life is futile.  Life goes on and my Faith and Wisdom have grown over the years.  I have learned to rely on my Faith, trusting that the Universe is in control and that the more I surrender to it, the more easily I can progress through my life challenges.

Fully Trusting and Surrendering to the Universe can be a daunting task with lots of fear lurking inside of me.  However, when I stop asking why, and stop focusing on what is wrong, and begin to Believe that everything is happening for my highest good, then, and only then, can I Accept the hand that I have been dealt. I Know that my Good will appear—just like going from winter to spring to summer, when warmth and sunshine are abundantly around us, my appreciation for all that I have been given comes forth once again.

The good news is that there are only 50 days until Spring!
