Diane Pitterle – Community

Community

I love to read the Daily Word each morning because it is such a wonderful way to start my day. This past Sunday we celebrated our Annual Unity Picnic and I began to think about what my “Daily Word” for this day would have been. The word “Community” immediately came to mind.

Our wonderful Unity “Community” is comprised of so many loving, giving, and sharing individuals. I am always impressed by how a church our size can have so many new and continuous ongoing activities. It is always a joy to see how people “step up to the plate” when needed whether it be through volunteering in some way or monetarily contributing to a special need/event. In fact, we are so grateful to have so many volunteers, that beginning this month, we are starting a Monthly “Volunteer Team Appreciation Sunday” on the second Sunday of each month!

It has been a pleasure to be a Board Member for the past few years and to work with our other Board members as we create, listen to and respond to ways to continue to grow our Unity “Community.” Without all of YOU and your generous giving of your time and talents we would not be the wonderful “Community” that we are today. Please know that your Board truly appreciates each and every one of you more than you will ever know! We are Blessed to be part of such a wonderful, loving “Community” of uniquely created individuals who are all willing to share their gifts and talents to make our congregation and our world a better place.

Peace & Blessings,
Diane Pitterle
