Hello, my Unity friends!
How are you dealing with our current Covid existence? Do you feel like your life has lost some of its richness, or are you focusing on savoring the lack of its busy-ness? I know that Kitty and Highest Good and our Tech Team (Parker!) have been busier than ever, in order to create some sense of normalness and connection for us all. I am always impressed with the array of ways that have been provided for us to still get Kitty’s weekly message, to still feel connected to each other, to still have the love of God and our community providing in our lives.
I am concerned, however, that not all of our family has been able to feel these connections, due to a lack of the necessary equipment, not knowing how to get to the internet locations/zoom chats/Facebook pages we used to provide these offerings, or to just simply not knowing how to get online. Are you holding onto a general fear of technology? Are you OK with some technology, but fear using Zoom?
We want to make sure we are reaching everyone we possibly can during the shut-down of our facility. Therefore, we are putting together a team of Unity folks that are willing to hold your hand (figuratively only, at a Covid-safe distance!) in this and walk you through whatever you feel you need more clarity on. We may not be able to solve any hardware issues but we should be able to help you understand how to use our services in the easiest possible way. So…..

If you feel you have some strengths in being able to help people learn to connect with Unity, please send an email to admin@unityinnaperville.org and say you want to be a part of the Connection Support Team. We don’t expect this to be a huge time commitment for any one person, and requests will be divided amongst the volunteers.

Likewise, anyone in need of assistance, be it via phone or a socially-distanced in person session, also send an email to admin@unityinnaperville.org and we will contact you to get more detail regarding your needs, and find the right person to assist you.
I hope we can deepen the connection for as many as need this assistance, and we look forward to helping you!
Peace to you all – Beth Schwartz, UIN Board President
