Fundraiser Recap

Last Saturday night was the glorious culmination of many months of planning, as we held our Eyes In Disguise fundraiser.  We are still smiling, recalling the joy of the music, dancing, great food, and the fun of the raffles and auctions.  That joy will be felt for some time to come.

In my last message in this e-newsletter, I took the opportunity to discuss volunteerism at Unity, and how impressed I was by the people that had ‘shown up’ to assist with planning of last Saturday’s event.  I do want to recognize that EVERY ONE of those volunteers gave it their all, and I will take the opportunity to fully recognize them.

Entertainment:  Arlene Hudson, Eric Hudson, Kevin Conlin
Venue coordination:  Leilah Siegel
Tickets and accounting:  Carol Gadbaw, Gordon Herzog, Karen Hernandez
Decorations:  Cat Thielberg (and myself)
Prizes: Gina Donaldson, Melinda Buehring, Kimberly McInerney, Elizabeth Allroth, Mary Wendt, Diane Pitterle, Carol Gadbaw
Marketing: Sharon Dziubski, Kim-Char Meredith, Danette Herath, Mary Wendt, Parker Charles
Emcees:  Kim-Char Meredith & Rhonda Lorenz-Pignato
Registration – Cindy Blank, Rev. Kitty Benson
Lagniappe: Arlene Hudson (pâtissière) & Margot Davis (packaging)
Many others pitched in for various tasks, including Pete Pitterle, Anthony Pignato, Jeff Benoit, Claudio Ruiz, and Ken Sloma

Although these people have not contributed their time and talents for the recognition, please take the time to express your gratitude, if you have not done so already.  Unity relies greatly on our volunteers, and we are lucky enough to have so many willing and capable individuals!

I am grateful for these people coming together to create something wonderful for Unity, and to help ensure the sustainability of our Unity community.

Have a blessed week!
