A Message from Kitty (3/29/22)

Last week, I fulfilled my annual commitment to Unity Worldwide Ministries by serving on Unity Institute’s Licensing & Ordination Team. I led one of nine teams of ministers who met for six days online, interviewing 20+ seminary students. We met from 8am to 5pm daily as we reviewed the students’ previous progress files, selected specific questions to ask during each individual interview, met with each student for an hour of oral review, and then discussed with my team our views of their progress. We then completed an online form, rating their answers and making suggestions on what to work on in the future. We finished the week by meeting with the students to give them our feedback.

It was quite a week for students and ministers, but it is always such a blessing to be able to participate in their progress and get a feel for where the Unity movement is going. I’m excited to see so many students committing their life to ministry. Each of them brings their own unique style, heart, and intelligence and yet they all desire to share the power of Unity’s positive spiritual message with the world. Each time I serve on this team I am reminded of my own call to ministry and how grateful I am to be serving such a beautiful group of souls that we call Unity in Naperville.  In the month of April, as we celebrate our 15th anniversary together, I plan on sharing some memories of my call to ministry. We’ll also take a look at how our ministry has evolved…and how we can each take stock of our own soul’s evolution. I hope you’ll join me at Unity this month for the many opportunities we have to celebrate and grow together in spiritual community!

Much love,

Rev. Kitty
