A Life of Purpose

I really enjoyed Rev Kitty’s series of talks on aging. As a woman of a certain age…I had some concerns and Rev Kitty’s talks were right on. One of my concerns involved purpose. What is my purpose now?

My career is long gone and was such an important part of my life. I worked many years for the government and for government contractors.  I always felt like I was doing something important…something I could see was helpful to the United States. And, then, when I owned my own company that was a government contractor, I felt accomplished.

So, now what? I had thought I just needed to adjust my attitude, think positively and know that my purpose would be revealed. And, it was revealed by Rev Kitty. Her talk really made me rethink everything. After all, I am in Naperville because of my Grandchildren!

I bought a house in their neighborhood so I can be available whenever they need me. So, I know my new purpose in life is different but just as valuable or maybe even more so! And that purpose is to help my son and daughter-in-law with the kids and have unconditional love for my grandchildren and provide an example of a life lived with purpose! PERFECT.
