CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS (Deadline: June 5)
Last year, our community came together to write 12 songs inspired by Unity’s 12 Powers (spiritual abilities we already possess, present in every person). We take our exploration and creativity even further in our ’12 Powers Project’ that culminates in a FULL-COLOR BOOK and AUDIO CD later this year! This project is a fundraiser for Unity in Naperville.
For the next six weeks, you are invited to submit art, music and/or writings inspired by one or more of the Powers! Painting, ceramics, knitting and other art mediums, writings, music – please participate in the way(s) you called to express!
Rev. Kitty has provided a 12 Powers Resource Handout (pdf) to aid in the exploration of our Divine Attributes. ALL artwork and writings will be included on a special project website. Select submissions will be included in the book and audio cd. Please visit the 12 Powers Project channel on UnityCommunityConnect for more information, where we will soon provide updates and additional information on submitting your art and/or writing.
MORE ON SUBMISSIONS: *All submissions should be emailed to *kcm@mpaktmm.com*; *in the subject line write “12 Powers Submission”. * *ARTWORK -* You are asked to initially submit a photo of your piece. Include your name and the power in the picture name (for instance, “Kim Char ZEAL.jpg”. Camera pic is fine, it doesn’t have to be perfect, we can take another picture before publishing to website or in book). *WRITINGS* – (poetry, prose, stories, reflections) – Each piece should be submitted as a WORD DOC. Please include a note on which of the 12 Powers it relates to. *AUDIO RECORDINGS* – submit as mp3, 320k, along with written words (Word Doc please).
