My desire to be a Board member is rooted in the joy of helping others grow and in turn see my spirit moving forward. This is my quest at Unity, to work with others, learn and grow my internal self and connect with the divine energy of this community. I am excited to serve as Board President to help UIN grow its capacity to engage others.Ā
I have been a seeker of truth and spirituality for most of my adult life. Unity in Naperville has supported me over the years and I am grateful to my community.Ā Unity is where my heart feels safe, comfortable and loved. Ā I recently retired after nearly 30 years of service to the EPA and I now have the time to devote to do the work Spirit is calling me to do.Ā I have an adult daughter and a magical miniature poodle puppy to share my life.Ā My hobbies include dogs, animals of all kinds,science, photography, crafts, reading, and most things techie (you will find me in the tech booth most Sundays).
I became a member of Unity in Naperville in 2010.Ā I was previously a member of Unity in DesPlaines, where I served as the Board Treasurer for 2 years.Ā I am retired from a career in Information Technology and Project Management. I appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Unity Board.Ā
Twenty-three years after starting my spiritual journey, I was surprised and grateful to find Unity so close by in Naperville, where I grew up and raised my family! The teachings and practices align so closely with my beliefs and values, and showing up regularly is something I cherish. My career has spanned technology, marketing, finance, and risk management, but my deepest passions are uplifting people and creative expression. In addition to my job, I am the founder of KarmaCordsĀ®, a transformational jewelry brand rooted in intention and connection.
This is my second term with the Board, having served from 2017ā2021. I am mostly-retired from a 40-year career in environmental consulting, and have three grown children with four grandchildren. I feel more focused this time around on the inner workings of UIN and hope to bring the positive spirituality of Unity to more people in the area and in the wider online community.
I have been coming to Unity for many years and I love the positive loving people here. I am blessed to serve Unity as a board member.
