Explore the duality of beginnings and endings, transition and permanence, through the lens of “Sunrise, Sunset.” This theme invites artists to interpret the literal and figurative meanings of these daily phenomena.

Literally, consider capturing the raw beauty of dawn breaking over a serene landscape, the golden hues of dusk reflecting on urban skylines, or the interplay of light and shadow in natural settings like oceans, forests, or deserts.

Figuratively, delve into themes of renewal and closure—such as personal journeys, cultural rituals tied to day and night, or emotional states like hope (sunrise) and introspection (sunset). Submissions might also explore metaphors for change, impermanence, or cyclical patterns in life, such as works addressing aging, transformation, or societal shifts.

Whether through painting, photography, textiles, digital art, sculpture, or mixed media (or your favorite medium), we encourage artists to reimagine how these moments resonate universally yet uniquely. Let your work bridge the tangible and the symbolic, celebrating the shared human experience of light’s ebb and flow.
